I was working on my car today , and wanted to re-torque the engine camshaft.. as per previous post, it suppose to be 15-17 lbs. or so.. when I was done, I found MY PLASTIC TIP OF THE OIL RAIL BORKEN, AND PUSHED..so.. was not getting enough pressure on the rail to be lubricated properly..this was my problem not the re-torque....!!! my guess..; first half would have been o.k... but back half probably suffered from lack of oil...

I'm very sure.. not enough pressure to push the oil all the way back.. causing chattering, and clanking noise, and shortenning life of my engine very fast.. everyone should check.. for this problem.. specially if engine makes noise, in the upper head portion.. the way it's designed, is poor.. the valve cover suppose to push in the plastic tip to the hole.. with 20+ years of pumping oil and vibration of the engine will make that little plastic to break.. I hope I have just saved whole bunch of engines.. out there.. specially porsche engines..(not chep at all.. do we know it..) check it now.. before your dies..OPEN YOUR VALVE COVERS, AND SEE THE THIN METAL PIPE RUNNING ON TOP OF YOUR HEADS.. THAT RAIL IS THE OIL LUBRICATION LINE, AND THERE IS A PLASTIC TIP THAT FEED THE OIL THROUGH.. THAT IS THE PIECE THAT SHOULD BE CHECKED..; as per my engine... it''ss nniiccee and quite now.. even ppicked up few horses.. as well.. obvioulsy...you are welcome to congratulate me..lol..lol..lol..ha ha ha.. thanks.. jc..
