New to the 951 world
1986, India Red, 117k miles, two owner, immaculate, full records, all maintenance, virtually all original. Found here on the forum. Second owner kept it for 18 years.
Sits next to an 87 Carrera. Quite a sight sitting in the driveway looking at a garage with two red Porsche's. I feel dirty  Brought it home Saturday night, washed and vacuumed it, and took it to a local charity car show Sunday morning. First place 1974-1989 vintage!!! What a hoot to drive.

nice.... welcome....... curious what did you pay. i just picked up a 86 guards red but she's a little banged up hence the good price. working on her now will have some progress pics soon waiting for a mint hood ... don't want bondo on her at all.

A little less than $10k. Not cheap but a good deal for sure. 15% less than the latest Excellence suggestions given the condition. Honestly, it's like it just came off the showroom, with the inevitable couple of suprises. A couple of re-paint spots but original, in general. I'm really pleased with it.
My research of the original color codes say there was no Guards Red 944. My code is LM3A. India Red. Previously, I thought they were the same. Seeing the two side by side, they are not. Whatever.... It's red. Never my color but I stumbled into both of them and love it. Good luck on your re-furb.
