Timing belt tools
Hi, i am doing the timing belt on my 86 951. I was seeing if there are any good alternatives to buying the tensioner tool from pelican or performance parts? Has anyone had good success with the cheaper alternatives? If i have to buy the genuine porsche tool i will but i am trying to avoid it. Thanks.

Get the Arnworx tool. It does as good a job, and costs a lot less.
If you are really low on funds, the Krikit tool is the least expensive, but also least accurate method. There is also the "Twist" method, but that one requires some experience to do properly. Do a search on the forum and you will find all of these things described. Good luck, Keith

What kit did you order?

I just ordered the 920X tool only. A regular 24mm open end wrench works on the eccentric, and I didn't need the flywheel lock at this time.
