951 w/ oil in intake manifold
I'm looking at a 951 with oil in the intake manifold. Supposedly, it is coming from what I assume is the EGR tube in the exhaust manifold, but the car is quite far away and I haven't seen it in person. Is this likely a leaky valve guide or something more serious? Otherwise, the car looks to be a good deal and might still be one depending on how serious the cause of the oil leak is. Seller thinks it will need at least a head gasket and valve job, but I'm not sure why he thinks so. No compression test has been mentioned either. Supposedly the turbo and air oil separator have been ruled out as both have been replaced.

If the turbo and AOS have already been replaced, then next most likely area are the valve guides....
The KKK's without a catch can will normaly consume oil, so some oil in the intake will occur normally. Excessive amounts can be due the valve guides, if the turbo is not blowing oil. Good luck with things! Keith
