Cam assembly torque specs

Reassembling my cam tower and couldn't find the torque specs in Hanyes or Clarks. Does anyone have these specs?

1) front cam cover
2) rear cam cover
3) cheese hd bolt

Really appreciate your help/

Thanks

Yeah, it's there: http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/cam-02.htm

The bolts are 14 FtLbs for the cam tower. There isn't a seperate spec for the rear cover (the one with the cork gasket). I haven't got a clue what cheesehead bolt you're talking about.

I just looked. The factory shop manual calls for for the following torque tolerances:
  • camshaft housing to cylinder head --- 15 FtLbs
  • Aluminum Sealing plugs to camshaft housing --- 29.5 FtLbs
  • Camshaft bearing to camshaft housing --- 6 FtLbs
  • Camshaft pulley to camshaft Allen screw with internal serrations (is this the cheesehead?) --- -t gives three torque settings - 33, 48 and 52 FtLbs - I haven't got a clue why.

I hope that helps.

I had a real pain with mine (I stripped a couple of the hex head bolts taking it off). When I put it back together, I used all new bolts so that next time, it should be easier.

Don't know how I missed it! Thanks
It's odd, seems reversed in the torque specs for the housing and the plugs. You'd think the bolt's holding the housing would be 29# and the plugs 15#...go figure?
