Water Pump for Turbo Not Working

It appears that the water pump for cooling the Turbo is no longer funcitoning. The fuse if good. Is it possible that the relay in the fusebox is bad? How do you check this?

Thanks for your assistance.

Not sure, trying to eliminate the simple stuff first. Just got a detail process to check. Will need to work through the steps to confirm which part is broken.

Thanks for the offer. It appears at this point the pump is bad. I applied the direct power and nothing happened.

If your pump is bad, get the cheaper Mercedes pump and save some $$$$$

If you check the Rennlist forums, I found a writeup for repairing this pump yourself. I could not get a link, otherwise I would have posted one.

Anyway , in the 944 forum over there do a search for "Repairing my turbo water pump" and you will find it. In that case a simple resolder was all that was needed. It's a nice writeup with pics.

Good luck.

Kevin
