loose vacuum line, where does it go

At the rear of the manifold and just underneath is a "thermo" valve with two lines coming off it. I think one goes to the front of the engine to the throttle and the second line seems to have gone towards a rubber boot that goes into the firewall.
(I'm told that one line goes to the throttle which i think is still in place, and the other to the shut off valve?, whats that.)
The reason i question is that I dont know how long the line has been off but it does not seem long enough now to go fromthe thermo valve to the line coming out of the firewall, passenger side, below battery box. I was going to get a new longer line but wanted to be sure this is where it goes. I could not find anyplace else where it looked like to line could have gone.
thanks for any response

If you look in the Reference Sticky post at the top, your question will be answered.

Based on your description, the fitting you describe is the one just above the "Manifold" in the picture. It is used for gas fume recovery.

If this is not the one (down underneath the intake manifold), then you must be talking about the check valve for the brake booster.

Cheers, Keith

thanks KD,

I follow the line and it seem to be what you said getting it hooked back up, i guess hte heat made it shrink up once the line came loose.
