WTT: My 88 TurboS Autothority Stage II DME/KLR for your stock
OK..passed. Would still be up for trading for stock plus a few bucks though.
Anyone local to Colorado interested in doing this? <edit>OK, that would be dumb I guess...but anyone interested in renting out (or trading for a while if you're wanting to tryout the chips)?

What is the reason for wanting to go back to stock?

On a time crunch to pass emissions. Double the limit for CO; Almost double the limit for HC. I'd just like to take something out of the equation. Do most cars usually pass with chips installed?

Not since they tightened the requirements...
Do you have a cat on? What was your emissions numbers? Check out the thread here: Colorado Emissions Thread

I have a CatConv body...who knows if anything is actually in there.
HC was roughly 3.5 vs a limit of 2.0 CO was about 43 vs a limit of 20 NOx was well below the limit. I have plenty of NOx room to lean it out using e85. I just went through this with my '86 and had trouble because they tightened limits. Those limits are tighter still with the '88. What I find disturbing is that this car is equipped with some narrowband mixture gauge. I've kept an eye on it and for the most part it's toggling across lambda like it should (goes rich when on boost though). Let me read through...Thanks for the link.

Thanks Josh.
Per the hallmeter it was running maxed out rich on about 80% or more throttle, even with lots of e85. Eventually I 1)settled on about 50% e85, 2)set the FQS switch to cut both fuel and timing -3% 3)disconnected and plugged the vacuum line going to the FPR. 4)Turned the boost controller to no boost (beyond wastegate spring) CO dropped to 11.5 HC dropped to 1.5 NOx was close to previous, maybe even lower.
