On my 86 turbo I have a sensor which is connected to one of the pipes that goes to the expansion tank, it has a single green wire coming out of it which is about to brake off, Ive been trying to look the part up but cant find the correct sensor, can anyone help?

Can you post a pic? Are you sure you aren't talking about the electric water pump for the turbo?

I went onto Clark's and found that its the sensor for the Turbo water pump, but I still can't find the correct sensor? does anybody know the correct part number?
Thanks for the help. |
If you're referring to the thermoswitch, the part number is 930 606 118 00. You would also need the sealing ring, the part number for that is 900 123 007 30. It's on page 52 in the PET catalog, which you can download here. LR and Paragon also sell them including low profiles ones for fitment issues with an aftermarket turbo.

Ok thats the one I found and looked to big, so I guess I need the low profile one as I have a after market Turbo setup. would you happen to know that part number?
Thanks for the help! |
TEMP SWITCH TURBO COOLANT PUMP 944T "LOW PROFILE" at LINDSEY RACING - Your Porsche Performance Parts Center
This is the one I purchased, it has a male bullet terminal and you can purchase a female bullet terminal at the parts store which you can then crimp onto your existing wire. If you need the terminal, I can mail it to you for the cost of a stamp :D, I have an extra one. |
Thanks for your help JS I have ordered the one from Lindsey, don't worry about the connector I have lots in my tool box;)
