Fuel Cutoff Problem

When I am in 3rd gear and floor it. I get to about 70mph and I get a fuel cutoff. This only occurs when I start from a low RPM in 3rd and have to be under boost for a long period of time. My Mech has adjusted and/or shimmed my waste gate as well as installed a banjo bolt. Do I need chips to help with this problem or do I need to work on the waste gate?
Thanks
Thom

If you are running stock chips, you are running into overboost protection. Get some aftermarket chips before you do any major damage. Running higher boost on stock chips may run the engine lean and cause a headgasket to blow.
