Airbag wheel to Momo

I am trying to remove my airbag wheel and put on a Momo wheel. I have bought the correct adapter (7004) I think. The problem is both the adapter and mounting surface (blinker control cluster) both have a "ring". One of them needs to have a "brush" in order to maintain contact. Do I have the wrong adapter or do I need to change the control cluster to one out of a non-airbag car? TIA

I explained how to do it in post #140. Basically the cruise control multifunction switch can be modified to accept the horn contact piece. 1 hole just needs to be drilled.

I am fairly certain it should work fine, i opted to go the other method as to save money on a new multifunction switch (think with cruise it was about $180). The horn contact was cannibalized from a spare non airbag multifunction switch with worn out labels on the stalks.

The non-airbag assembly also uses a different plastic cover (mounting holes are in different spots) so make sure you get one of those also.
