Shift Boot Install

I purchased a shift boot off of Ebay and installed it recently. It is manufactured by Wheelskins and I am really happy with the quality and the ease of installation.

There directions for replacing the shift boot are excellent, and I have attached them here thinking that it might help someone else doing the same upgrade.

Thanks, do you have a picture of the boot installed?

I did mine in red (as an experiment) and really it is not that hard.

BTW you may have to trim the leather, don't be afraid, but be cautious.

i've found it also helps if you remove the whole thing after install, and dunk it in water to wet the leather. this causes the leather to shrink as it dries and creates a tight, slip-free custom fit.

Looks nice, if you don't mind me asking, how was was this boot?

I think you are asking how much here. I think I paid about $39.00 for it plus shipping.

I got the same shift boot but could not get it to snap back into the center console. The leather seems to thick.
Any tips?

No tips, sorry. I took the elastic part and stretched it around the plastic frame, and I have to say snapping it in place was very simple.

But we are both in Chicago area, so if I can help further let me know.
