Should be ok. I have fit the same size tire on a 17x9 with a 46 offset, required some minor rolling.

I'm not sure about the late offset suspensions but I have 17" x 10" (275/40) & 17" x 9" (255/40) CCW Classics mounted onto my '86 with no fender rolling at the stock ride height.

I run the exact same tire sizes as derek. My car is lowered and the rear fenders are rolled but it looks like there would be enough clearance with out it though. I don't know my offsett but there isn't much room on the inside either.

They're supposed to be 23 mm's, same as the stockers, and w/out any spacers even though the rears could use about a 7 mm to push them out a bit.

Thanks guys for your input. I bought the 17X9 wheels with the 275/40/17 nitto nt01 in the rear. They do just fit without any fender roll (I may do it just to be safe anyway). I do have they car on koni adjustable and its slightly lowered.

255x40x17 front, 275x40x17 rear, car is lowered to the top of the tire front and rear, but I have factory rolled fenders.
