Lovely, yes, lovely (say with evil Brittish accent)

Well, since repaint 11 months ago. Gotta give it a couple of seasons for the paint to fully settle before you do your final color-sanding.

Glasurit is some high dollar ****! And, the end result is well worth the money
![]() I'm planning on a full respray to mine, but only with Diamont (Next step below Glasurit). Great looking car! |

Your car looks great! Now the hard part... keeping it that way!
Not sure what your experience is with detailing, but if you use the right products, you can keep that car looking good for a long time. I could give you a very long list of products and a lot of opinions, but after 30+ years of trying different products, here are two I find essential: -Besides a long history of using bath towels and both synthetic and leather chamois, all of which create that wonderful spider web effect on paint, I have used 2 different high end micro-fiber waffle weave drying towels. They don't scratch the car, but don't absorb well either. Now, I go to Target. They have a yellow micro fiber drying towel that can be found in the automotive section. Don't scratch, sturdy and absorb very well. -Black Fire Wet Diamond. Autogeek.com sells it. It's a sealant. Once the car is polished, you put the sealant down, then, if you wish, a pure carnuba wax. I have gone through a number of higher end waxes and I am still a big fan of P21S, but it will not last past one hot day in a parking lot (it melts at 120 degrees!) and is no defense of a bird bomb or a bug splat. Black Diamond is good for 600 degrees and will give your paint a real layer of protection. |

Thanks GF, correct, Autogeek is a great place to buy the good stuff: I'm partial to Natty's paste wax (red) as it's oily enough to hydrate our non-cleared Glasurit paints & works well on hard/soft rubbers as well.
I won Zymol's wax competition in '04, getting the Porsche $99/bottle Glasur wax free for life: that's been fun. Love the Zymol too, though time consuming. Won more Concours with Zymol than with any other product.

Ah! So you have a lot of detailing experience! So few do. It's sad seeing Porsche owners who use dirty towels and Dawn to wash their cars. A few weeks ago, I watched a guy try to remove bugs from his GT3 RS with a PAPER TOWEL and WINDEX. I almost had a brain bleed.
