Check the DME relay, fuel pump could be gummed up, do you have spark? Search this forum for the "No start checklist" and get ready for some fun.

some people have had luck soaking them in gas...me, I would just replace it. I think I may have a good spare here, I can check in the morning if you'd like me to.

You need to remove the pump from the car, carefully cut it out of the rubber soundproofing (be neat, you will need to reuse this), then submerge the pump in fuel and let it sit for a day or two. Then drain the pump, let it air dry and apply power....repeat until you either give up and buy a new one, or it frees up.

i do not know how to test the DME relay, I just simply replaced it since it was not that expensive, but the engine still not fired up, and I still not heard the sound of the fuel pump. Someone suggested to reflash the computer, but I never heard it and do not know how to do it, what is it anyway?

Get some rags, a fire extinguisher and some beer. Pull the fuel line and crank it. Just for a couple seconds. Ease your pain man!

86 944T w/ the 951-250 kit. Has not run for some months due to alternator and poor charging. Am on 3rd re-built alternator. Replaced both DME and fuel relays. Put in a new battery and several gals of fresh fuel. Engine started immediately, ran for +/- 1-min smoothy then quit. Turns over strong, yet maybe the alternator still is not doing its work. Just won't ignite. A familiar problem for many w/ this car I am sure. Maybe the same solution to this wil resolve yours! Any ideas?

My son who is far more knowledged in this area says it is easy to foul the plugs. he suggests removing and inspecting. Replace if plenty of deposits, maybe replace anyway.
