Do Autothority chips come in pairs?
I'm a new '89 951 owner and I've been poking around my car learning all I can about it and replacing the things that need replacing (it had been sitting around for 4 years). When I opened up my DME & KLR I found a stock DME chip and an AutoThority KLR chip (951.020.200.KLR). Are those chips supposed to come in pairs?
I ask because I noticed that my car will suddendly cutout on me when I do a WOT run. It usually seems to cut out in 3rd gear just before I shift into 4th. I installed a boost gauge and afm and everything seems good there, so I'm not really sure whats going on |

I have the same chipset in mine and it does come as a set of 2 chips.....one for the ECU and the other for the KLR. I can't think of any reason not to use the KLR chip with the ECU chip, in fact I would think that they need to be used together to work properly. Change out the KLR chip and see what happens.

I don't have a stock klr chip to swap out. Also, worth noting my boost gauge is telling me I'm getting between 15-17 psi. I'm thinking that maybe the stock DME chip is what's throwing a wrench in things
