I have the original radio that came with my 86 in nearly new condition, with harnesses, etc.
Mine's an 86, and I believe it was the optional upgrade at that year, not sure. I'm gonna have to dig up in the garage if you're really interested. (Do you know off hand if this is the radio you're looking for, or am I going to have to take it out of it's box and check model #?) Ahmet

It's going a lot slower than I would like with no second car (sold my NA last week).
I've replaced literally every boost/vacuum hose and clamp, cap/rotor, shocks (koni adjustbiles in the front, with strut bearing issues, more on that later and bilsteins in the rear), bearings, rear rotors, braided ss lines new master cylinder/reservoir, fixed rear wiper, installed air/fuel +boost gauges with custom panels (that I made), haven't touched the engine yet it leaks/burns oil really bad but good compression and the valves aren't too loud. I kinda want it to break 200k miles (currently at 179,860) making over 300 hp without tearing it. I wired in the stereo with brand new wires for every speaker, etc. etc. (will have 6by9s in the rear cubbies with their seperate amp, already wired in 4 channel RCA cables, etc.) Basically I know the interior really shouldn't be coming apart anytime soon, except for the sunroof that I haven't fixed yet, and the hatch release. Currently it's not boosting over about 10psi, and sounds like **** when it finally does make it to 10 (slows down at about 7psi). Sounds fine when not under load, I'm hoping plug wires will solve that, we shall see. I'm going to use spacers from my old 944 in the rear to widen track by about 21 mm, I'll be buying studs for that soon too. Anyway, basically suspension will be about where I want it after I put in the front shocks right, which none of my f'king resident Porsche experts (my arse) can get straight. I bought all new parts for the front suspension, and instead of barrowing the tools for it (like I normally do), I dropped them off at a shop (won't give names, people get back to me with complaints when I tell specific shop names on Pelican!!!), after 21/2 weeks picked them back up, and the strut bearings were locked up. Another friend of mine (from another shop) was nearby, and he said he could fix that (today), so I let him, brought them back. Everything looked fine and after a few miles of driving, I see that they sit about 3/4ths inch too high, THAT pisses me off... During the test drive today (literally about 20 min. ago) it cut out, and this ended up being a boost hose that was not tightened properly (after I specifically told one of my friends who was 'helping me' to be carefull there!). Put it back in and now the car won't boost, so frustrating. I've put over 35 hours in that thing since my night class on thursday. I drove it today without headlight covers, header panel, completely open exaust and no hood. I need to wire in the headlights with a relay, fix sunroof, install new pads/rotors in the front, and a couple of trim pieces in the interior (most of which will be here by tuesday). After that everything but the engine will be straight. Here's the problem, I have $5100 in the car (wanted to be done with everything for $5k flat, pet peeve) I'm moving out on the 10th (to a house without a garage), and my parents are moving to another country by the 20th or so... This car needs to be reliable because I will have class everyday this summer (I want to study law after I get a mechanical engineering degree, and I don't want to be in school forever)... So busy busy. Anyway, I dropped these shocks off, they took a really long time to fix them, I had to pick up the parts from the dealership for them, they still f*cked up, another friend tried, looked fine untill installed. Now my car smokes really bad (from all the oil leaks onto the exaust), and won't build much boost. Drives MUCH tighter, but oh well. So far I'm about 95% done with interior, %90 done with suspension, about %90 done with brakes, %85 done with performance modifications intended for the next 8 months or so, but not the oil leaks. BTW, I've taken the time to write pretty long articles on shifting and suspension designs, steering feedback, etc. that I thought made a good listing but I feel like they were under-appreciated. Quickly fell pages behind, and since even with what I believe to be polite, and informative posts nobody replies and thanks me, I don't feel like I need to take the time if nobody benefits/appreciates the posts that I take the time to write. Thanks for asking I needed to vent. Ahmet

Update:
Everything is going together much better this week. I fixed my sturts, and the chips seem to hold the mixture up to about 18 psi with stock turbo just fine. (Can't feel much of a power increase over about 15 psi though, so I'm planning to set the boost to about 14.5 after I shim the wastegate, and install an el-cheapo boost controller). I'm shooting for 290hp at the crank by mid next month, if everything goes to plan (it never does), I'll have the car done by then for the current level of intended performance, except for oil usage by the end of next month. Ahmet

1.2- have you seen the dawes device? its a $35 boost controller that works really well on my brothers volvo turbo. it brings the boost on much earlier and is adjustable. it looks like the lr boost enhancer and i suspect they are very similar. any way i am going to try it this week instead of the manual boost control knob. i think it may work a lot better and its less then half the price. apex-i controllers are next....after i get rich

I'll take a look at it, I had almost decided to build my own, but right now I'm running as much boost as the turbo can make (no control for the wastegate), so unless I get a different turbo I probabbly won't need a controller. I'll let you (and others!) know probabbly sometime tomorrow with pictures...
Thanks for the heads up. Ahmet
