Will a turbocharger with a 4" inlet fit in a 951?

I'm all up for modifications to get odd things to fit in cars.

I have a 60-trim turbocharger I plan to install next month in my Turbo-S but it has a 4" inlet: not sure I have enough room to run such a large compressor housing inlet: anyone do this yet?

Of course I'll purchase a 4" to 3" reducer to hook up to my MAF.

Thanks, Mark

That may be a bit large, I had to notch the top of my k27 compressor housing to clear the screw heads on the bottom of the throttle body

compressor housing is close, but standard TO4 like people are using though with a 4" inlet. We'll see wont we?

if the maf will restrict the inlet to 3" anyway, why bother with the 4" turbo? why not just get a 3" turbo and make life easier?

if I choose to keep it MAF: unsure yet. I have an extra AEM EMS system...or could reduce to 3" for my Lindsay setup. Haven't decided yet.

that design has 0 taper; could make the #4 leaning even worse. I have an extra 951 intake, guess I'll make one with a decent reducer like the Supra's use.

Mark,

I run a 4" intake with a reducer...but with a different mount as well. It is still tight.
Tried to find a couple of pics. No longer running the Vitesse software but still have the same size intake pipe.

nice setup: engine management as well: a bit of $ invested there.

I just picked up a new Precision Billet 52mm DBB turbo with a Tial v-banded hot housing: smaller, shouldn't be a fitment problem & will be more suited for my "street" car.

Ye$...

Will that Precision turbo bolt on or require some modifications? We had to make quite a few mods to get the Garrett/Tials to fit...including custom mount. That's also a 3.5" dowpipe straight off the turbo. Lots more room for other mods now that the OEM brake system has been removed. Whole new 3L motor to go in soon enough with bigger turbo.
