Two things from removing the old one - it had obviously been opened before. The black plastic cover easily came off in my hand, not the factory sealant. Secondly, I can obviously see the grooves across the resistor. Thanks for the vid (link) kdollar, it really helped me see how to repair the one I have. Hopefully this weekend I can get the other one in and test it out.

More bizzare
Mine seem to be a bit more complicated to understand... I bought it in may and the engine went off twice on the road... First occurrence lasted 15 minutes and it restarted.. Second, on the highway
! But it restarted 10 seconds later (on compression mode ). I changed the TPS and O2 sensor and thought the problem was solved... No! Still there but in no specific time or temperature or if I pushed the engine hard... No it's random... I'm waiting for the Oil pressure sender... Any thing else could cause this? The only reason I could find is heat... But not out of ordinary and it should always happen. Thanks, ![]() |

The AFM was the fix! Decent test drive today (finally), and no more stumbling/stutter. Now to repair the old one and keep as a spare.
