Any rarity in a Euro 1986 951

I've owned this car since last fall and haven't done alot with the car. I believe that I am the 3rd owner of the car, as it was imported in 2000 from Germany by the original owner.

I was told that the engine was rebuilt within the last 20K with upgrades, but have no documentation other than notes that I took from the previous owner. I do know that this car pulls harder the the 930 that I had.

I just purchased a ALL original 1974 914 2.0 and I am trying to determine which car I should keep.

Look how nice the back end looks on the ROW Turbo....

Ride height looks a bit high for ROW, but to answer your question, yes I would say that a ROW car in the US is an exception.

Not sure if that would bring you more $$ if you tried to sell it, but not many are around in the US like this one.

If it's an 86 and pulls harder than your previous 930, at the very least the turbo (and related parts; chips, injectors, etc) have been upgraded....the 86 ROW version of the 951 had 220hp compared to the US version @ 217hp. Early 930's had 256hp(but they had massive turbo lag), the later 3.3 930 developed 300hp (still quite a bit of lag, but not as much), 930 slants developed 330hp, and the 86 and later "emissions" engines developed 278hp.

Personally, if it was me, I'd keep the 951, but then, I'm water-cooled guy. But hey, a nice 914 2.0L is a nice car too...post pics of the 914?

Here is a pic of my 74 2.0. I just listed it in the classified section. My euro 951 might be next.

If you look close you can see that Anthony's pic has the early chrome bumpers while the car in the photo you posted has the later black rubber bumpers.

I had to take a second look at that one! It definitely has the same color scheme.

Lookslike the interior is different too, Anthony's is brown, and the other one appears to be tan
