can you open the TPS

In the process of a throttle body reseal I confirm that the throttle shaft seals are shot. This makes me suspect that some blowby oil may have gotten into the tps housing. How can you safely open this housing to clean. I thought I would just spray it with electronic cleaner.
Any tips on reinstalling the tps to the throttle body.

thanks

I have not personally done it but the TPS can be taken apart and reglued back together with silicone or a suitable weather proof glue. Gently use a dremel and cutting wheel to seperate it all in the middle. Note the position of the TPS before removal would be best but you can set it with a volt meter I beleive or do it by ear with throttle open a little then closed.
