Can a mafterburner be used without a wideband O2?

I'm thinking of looking into a mafterburner but don't know if I can just leave the stock O2 sensor alone with a mafterburner or do I have to add a stand alone wideband sensor that the mafterburner read? Trying to figure out this tuning stuff.

yes the mafterburner will work without a wideband but the purpose of the mafterburner is to adjust the fuel curve. So without a wideband there is no way to determine where the fuel curve is, plus my experience with the mafterburner was a PIA. At any rate a wideband is almost a must for a modded car.

IMO this setup is really old tech, there is a much better way now such as Rouge tuning.
