Down The Rabbit Hole! EEPROMs!
Hi,
I want to build an EEPROM reader. I sent off my chips recently to be read because I didn't know what they were meant for (I.e. 3.0 bar FPR, 52# injectors, etc). The manufacturer was very helpful and I got the info I was looking for. Back in the day my friends would modify our xbox's so we could burn games onto the hard drive and what not. We did this by flashing the EEPROM chip. I want to build a reader and learn how to read and modify the chips myself... Has anyone done this before or know how to build an EEPROM reader? Also what program do I need to view or edit it? TIA

It's easy to read the chip, just get a Prom burner and software. The hard part is knowing what it all means and how you want to change it.

Talk to Josh at Rogue Tuning. He already did the hard part. Get his system and you can mod the chip however you want...
