1986 944T drivers side floor mat
I need to remove the drivers side floor mat from my 944T because it is soaked with brake fluid. Do I need to remove the seat? Or can I just pull it out? It looks difficult. Is there a good way to clean the floor mat when I finally get it out? Or do I need to buy a new one?

Huh?
Do you mean just the floor mat? If so it may have clips on bottom (or back).
If you mean the actual carpet. I beleive it is one piece in the front and one piece in the back. I may be only one piece total. Either way the carpet goes under the console. So that would have to be removed, also I would not be suprised if you have to remove the front seats. I could be a little off. I have never done it. But I should not be that far off. If I am I am sure someone else will chime in. Thom |

1986 944T floor mat (carpet)
Sorry No1biscuit I do mean carpet. If the seats need to come out,how are they fastened? From underneath the car? If I could find a good manual I would buy it but any manual I've seen on the '86 944 doesn't show a thing about interior fixings. Are there any other ideas out there? Thanks.

the seats are bolted down with allen head bolts one in the front track and Two behind in the back track. Slide the seat forward remove the rear ones.. slide seat back remove the front.. if you don't have a set of allen sockets I reccomend buying one your going to use them everywhere on this car.
