Chip Newbie Question

Hi All,

I am getting ready to put the race car on the dyno for it's NASA classification pulls (GTS car).

I want to run 2 sets on pulls:

1. Stock
2. Vitesse DME/KLR and a 3 Bar FPR.

The question I have is:

Should I install the 3bar FPR and do both the "stock" and "modified" pulls with it on? What will happen during the "stock" pull? Will the O2 sensor adjust for the 3Bar FPR?

Dyno time is $$ so I would rather not pull the FPR off the car at the dyno shop. I don't want to spread the dyno results across multiple days either..

On a side note - Anyone have Vitesse chips? How do you like them?

TIA

I think the car will run like crap with a 3 bar FPR and the stock chips. The o2 sensor is not programmed to adjust for fuel pressure.

How long does it really take to switch the FPRs? Two bolts and 5 minutes? Will certainly take 4 times as long to switch the chips in the DME.

The interior is stripped and I have 2 sets of DME and KLR boxes. 1 with the stock chips and 1 with A/M.

My main concern is after the first pull the car will be stinking hot and I don't want to be playing with fuel.

Good point about not wanting to swap on a hot engine. I dont see any way around it though. You cant get the stock chips to work with a 3 bar FPR.
