WTB 86 turbo phone dials
I have a 1986 turbo I am restoring. I believe the rims that are on it right now are off a Turbo S.
Part number 944.362.113.00 for existing rims. I am looking for the 16 inch phone dials, Fuchs , or another nice-looking rim for the car. Thanks. |

I have an 85.5 (with Early Off Set) and the 86 Turbo Phone's look better than the Late Off Sets, less chance of curb rash as they sit in farther, took a while to find mine but well worth it, good luck in your search

That 944.362.113.00 wheel is 16x6" Sewer Lids, 52.3mm offset.
944 TurboS used ClubSport wheels: 16x7" 951.362.115.30, 65mm offset944 Turbo 1986 used PhoneDials or optional Fuchs: 16x7" 951.362.114.00, 23.3mm offsetThe Fuchs were 951-specific version in 16x7/8": 16x7" 951.362.115.00, 23.3mm offsetThe 16x7/8" 911-Fuchs don't fit since the spokes don't have the clearance for the 951 brakes. Although the 911's 16x9" does fit. Last edited by DannoXYZ; 04-19-2014 at 09:34 PM.. |

Another interesting tidbid about the '86 951 is the rear-hub. While it uses the same 23.3mm offset wheels as earlier 944 NA cars, it doesn't have the 21mm rear spacer. This causes the rear-wheel to sit a little more inset than the front wheels for a strange look.
On some of my previous '86 951s, I obtained the longer studs and spacers from '83-85 944 NA cars and installed them to balance the wheel-wells. Apparently the '85.5-86 944 NA cars with 23.3mm offset were also deprived of the rear-wheel spacers as well. Strange. |
