Hi every one... I just replaced my Clutch Master Cylinder... had no ideal how to bleed the master cylinder... read everything on the web and Pelican, tried everything except the pressure bleeder... to no avail. Called... Doug... with in 3-4 min's he explained a ... "Reverse Bleed System"... simple as a cave man... getting a girl friend... very easy and free... (no pressure bleeder)! Here is a pic of all that u will need to bleed your master clutch cylinder / complete clutch hyd. system and getting rid of almost 90-95% of the air in the entire clutch system.



So simple... Doug is one of my best Porsche 951 friends... and go to guy for 951 parts (fair prices)...and and free advice... my learning curve just went up by a... (3) pointer back to back in only about 25 min's to bleed down the entire clutch system and have a working clutch!

1) Get a oil can with pump handle... clean thoroughly!
2) Attach bleeder hose... about 15" long
3) Get a small catch can and a "Turkey Baster"
4) Fill (Brake and Clutch Reservoir 3/4 full)
5) Pump up oil can in the bleeder hose till the hose is almost full of brake fluid running out (no air in the bleeder hose) (note: clutch petal must be in the full out driving position - "NOT ON THE FLOOR")
6) Attach full bleeder hose to *Slave Clutch Cylinder - bleeder fitting.
7) Use 7mm wrench and open slave clutch cylinder (bleeder fitting about 3/4 of a turn).
8) Start pumping oil can... nice and easy till it is almost 3/4 empty.
9) Close slave clutch cylinder bleeder fitting.
10) Ck brake reservoir.. it should be almost running over the top of the reservoir.
11) Remove excess brake fluid to the full level marks.
12) Replace reservoir cap and dirt catcher.
13) Ck clutch petal, u will notice that it goes almost to the floor... but will have just enough travel to put pressure on the clutch to shift just fine... u will have to pull up the clutch petal with your left food (just put your foot to the left side of the petal and behind the petal and pull back up and it will pop up)... Drive you car for anywhere from 2-3 days and the small amount of air in the system will work it's way out and u will be back to a full, strong and easy shifting clutch.
(Note)... it took about 50-60 miles for mine to working fine in about 2-3 day.

yes Doug is a great guy. I live in NKY and have been to his place a few times picking up parts for my 951 project. got it with a long block in the engine bay and EVERYTHING else in boxes and filled the back of my pickup. having Doug, and his son JC, local has really been a godsend. as it turned out there were a few missing items.

got it started a couple weeks ago, and hoping the new elec turbo WP I just received will be the last item needed to get it on the road.

I did the same thing bleeding my clutch MC, but use a power bleeder. just a few pounds of pressure is all it took. in full disclosure, I saw this technique on Eastwood Garage's web site.
