951 Track/Racing Iron Sleeved Short Block ForSale

If you are looking for a rebuild for your next race/track season -- I've already bit the bullet and have one built waiting for a new home.

Long story short -- I did a block rebuild due to a spun bearing (at idle) and
an oiling issue. After the rebuild -- I still had the oiling issue --
jumped through many hoops testing everything. Then swapped blocks,
still had the problem == which means this short block is totally fine.
Found the problem in the cam tower.... good size nick in the cam journal.
We swapped the cam tower and car runs great with solid OP.
Since I'm planning on selling the car -- no interest in swapping the
track motor back in.

$2500 firm (I've got way more into it than that).

Maybe 50 street miles on the block -- (Low break in RPM driving, I drove it home, didn't like the oil numbers (1.5 - 2bar) -- brought it right back to the shop the next day and swapped the short block).

86 Turbo 2.5L Block
Iron sleeves, decked.
LR custom fit rings
All new bearings, main and Rod
Arp Rod bolts
Windage ports milled between 1-2. & 3-4
LR cross drilled crank
Rebuilt oil pump
New pick up tube, tube reinforced, custom support
Aluminum welded baffle
IJA crank scraper
Welded Pick up ring
Balance shaft deletes and return holes welded
Tapped for npt turbo oil supply feed.
Upgraded one piece OPRV
rebuilt oil cooler assembly.

I think that's everything....

I can certainly take pix if needed.

If your local to Austin area -- I can even have the block installed for a reasonable cost adder.

Mike
