951 Block/ parts value question

Hello,
I have an old 951 turbo engine in my garage which is in parts and needs to go.
It is out of an 87 turbo.
I have the Block with the crank in it
The head,
oilpan,
pistons/rods/ sump/various bolts in boxes(although I'm sure some of the bolts are missing).
I think the oilpump is still on the front.

Basically, it is a core and needs to be rebuilt. It had a spun #1 bearing, so I just bought another engine and never got around to fixing this. It might make a good custom engine project for someone. I think it had approx 120,000 original miles.

What I am trying to figure out is it's value and how I should sell it.. For example, case and crank? Head separate? or should I keep it all together. I'm new to this and have not been keeping in touch with 951 engine values, but it's pretty apparent that I am never going to get around to fixing it. Then comes the issue of shipping something like that. I wouldn't have a clue.

I think the cylinder walls are good but I would need to check.

(Basically I just tripped over it and am in spring cleaning mode) :)

Any advice appreciated. Thanks,
Ron

A scrap metal dealer will give you about $50 for it.

Never scrap an original turbo block

How are the bores?
UPS ground will ship boxes up to 150lbs each.

I once shipped a block + crank + balance shafts in a small crate via UPS G.

If you could take pictures please PM me for an email address.

Hello,
Sorry for the long delay in responding. I started a new job last week and was busy.
About the bores, I have no measuring tools. The #2 cylinder (or second from the front) appears to be scored at the top all the way around. The rest appear smooth. I don't know if that could be smoothed out without destroying the cylinder lining, or if it would necessitate placing sleeves. It does not appear to be deep scoring, but it is at the top of the compression stroke where pressure is highest, ....but I am no expert as to what constitutes minor scoring vs. trashed block. Here are some pics...
