An easier way to align the crankshaft to TDC from under the car is to align the machined line in the flywheel with the mark on the bell housing, once you get close by using the camshaft marks.

Trying to find that "OT" mark through the window can be difficult to do.

Concur with kdjones2000, provided the engine is in the car and most everything is still connected/installed. Pull the rubber plug from the upper timing belt cover view port. Rotate the crankshaft until through the view port you can see the indent on the cam sprocket align with the pointer in the view port. With the car jacked up fairly high, crawl under with a light, and with a breakerbar/socket hanging from the crankbolt. Look through the underside view port on the bellhousing, and slightly move the breakerbar to slightly rotate the crank to align the notch in the flywheel with the viewport in the bottom of the bellhousing. It's probably pretty close already if you got the camsprocket lined up right. This is so much easier than trying to look through the viewport on the top of the bellhousing, which is completely obscured by electrical crap and vacuum hose.

Pull #1 spark plug out this is front of engine cylinder #1 and insert a very long small screwdriver into spark plug hole then turn motor back and forth a tiny amount maybe a degree or 2 back and forth to get the screwdriver at its highest point. It kinda floats at the highest point for a degree or so this is top dead center. Then you can confirm your 3 timing marks the factory installed and get a idea how rough they are. Also remember the timing belt design was only made to rotate clockwise looking at front of engine. I donít mind rotating counter clockwise a few degrees but all spark plugs must be out of engine so no compression and make sure itís out of gear!
