1989 951 Tires

I am at my wits end. I cannot locate stock size tires for my 1989 944 Turbo. What is everyone else doing other than moving to 17 inch tires? IS there another option? Is increasing wheel size the only way to get new tires for this car? I hate having to give up the perfect original wheels.

I use 225/50 all around and it works fine. You can still get also 245/45 but there are only some 4 - 5 options available.
