manual boost control

which way do i turn to lower boost? it is a little blue manual boost controller. it is made of aluminum and a simple knob with a threaded locking jam "nut". i am pushing 18-20psi and want to turn it down to 12-15psi. my camera is dead. until i post some pics, any ideas...?

it has been "forever" since i installed it. i want to adjust it the right way, so as to avoid overboost.

thanks,

rick

I would guess you would turn the knob counter-clockwise to provide lower boost (open valve more). assuming of course you have a stock single port wastegate.

Give it a half turn one way and see if you get more or less boost .. If it goes more you are not going to hurt anything if you over boost for a couple of seconds.. I have a manual boost controller and I have to turn it the oppisite way it says to adjust it. At first I though I was lowering the boost but I was raising it. Once I say the boost go up more I let off the gas and turn the knob the other way and it went down...

What kind of boost controller is this? I have the same one on my car from the previous owner and I am trying to figure out who it is made by.

Thanks
Paul

Get rid of it. It was susceptible to small changes in temperature. And gave inconsistent boost ranges.

Accuboost-1 controller. One of the better manual controllers out there, but has limitations of mechanical devices.

- Inconsistent boost from day-to-day when the temp and humidity changes.
- higher boost in higher gears
- dropping boost curve in upper RPMs
