How much HP can the stock injectors make

I'm not new at all to the 944 Turbo world. Keeping it mostly stock is new to me. I just bought an 87 951 in really good shape. I'm going to keep it mostly stock except for the 3 inch exhaust and I bought a boost enhancer and the A-Tune from Lindsey with a 3 bar FPR and gauge. I was just wondering how much HP the stock injectors can handle with a 3 bar FPR and the stock 26/6. I have read articles like "Tuning the 944 Turbo 1 and 2" by JMG in England. He wrote that they could handle 320 HP, but when I use those flow calculators at some of the performance shops, they will say I need 55 lb. injectors on a 4 cylinder engine. Lindsey uses the stock injectors with their 300RWHP Kit, so I'm assuming I should be safe. I don't know much about the A-Tune. I don't know if it actually has performance MAPS in the chip. My other 375HP 951 caught on fire over the summer and it was a total loss. I had performance everything on that car. So I know my way around 951s. Just thought somebody might chime in. Thanks, Kevin

The K26-6 and stock injectors are a reasonable match for each other. As a combo they will probably do 270 wheel hp on a dyno jet, if everything else is optimized... But it will likely be less. I don't think you'll run the stock injectors out of steam with a turbo as bad as the stock one on there.

ROUGH rule of thumb to max out gasoline/petrol fuel injectors on a 4 cylinder -
take the injector flow rate in lbs/hour and multiply by 8

951 stock injectors are ~36 lb/hr = ~288hp
i believe that 36 lb number is at 2.5 bar (stock 951 pressure) so a 3 bar might put them up to 40lb/hour = 320hp at 100% duty cycle.

you dont want to run injectors at 100% duty cycle if you can avoid it - 80% is a better target, which is why 55 is a common upgrade.

i happen to have an excellent set of 55lb injectors available for sale, i used them on my 944, but had to go back to stock for emissions testing and never got around to swapping them back.

if you are in the USA I am asking $150, shipped. if you are international i can get you inexpensive shipping and we can work something out.
