Best Technical Manuals???

Hey Guys and Gals!

I just picked up my first 951 and I am super excited! It is a project at this point... the previous owner began tearing down the engine and when I got it, the engine was partially disassembled and in boxes.

This is my first 951, but not my first 944 (I had a '83 euro many years ago). I have a couple of aircooled 911s and have the manuals for those and do a lot of the work myself so I am not scared of getting my hands dirty.

I need help finding the best resource manuals so I can put this thing back together correctly.

Thanks again! I am looking forward to getting this baby back on the road!

Myles

Hi Myles - congrats on the new ride! Are you going to be posting your progress on the car? From what I've read in the forum, Clark's Garage has a good shop manual for all of the 944 variations. Other members will likely chime in with their advice as well. To help get you started, I'm attaching a link to our site's DIY tech articles on the 951 platform. Hope this helps you a bit in the mean time!

Probably some sort of copyright infringement to post here. Google for the workshop manual...there is a free PDF out there. Also find the PET there. As stated, Clark's garage is an excellent resource. Sadly the owner of the site passed away recently, so I don't know how long the server will be up...might want the download the chapters.
Enjoy the journey, these are GREAT cars.

Thank you both for your replies. I will post up when I dive into the car, but that probably wont be until the spring sometime.

I know there are articles out there, the big thing for me was making sure that I was looking at/using the articles and books that other enthusiasts were using!
