Front trunk/hood/frunk release handle ?
 

This may be a dumb question but.... I cannot seem to figure out how to get the cable undone from the handle. The round channel on the back of my handle broke and I would like replace the handle. I have the cover and handle loose, I can see where the cable attaches to the handle but cannot seem to get the handle off the cable.

Just in case it matters; 93 C2 convertible

So, I figured it out. The cable has a round eye that goes around a small pin that has be pushed out. Once I saw that it was no problem. Just fyi, getting it all back installed is a little frustrating but if you loosen the cable at the front of the car you get a couple inches of slack that makes it possible. I saw on another post that you should try to leave the screws that attach the housing to the car in the housing and then hook up the cable and handle. Man is that true! They are a bear to get back in with the handle in the way. Hope this helps somebody.
