1995 - 993 dashboard squeak
I have a 1995 Porsche 993 convertible with 96,000 miles. I have had the car for 9 months and am new to this 911. I have a strange squeaking, squealing, rubbing or whistling noise coming from, it seems like, the steering wheel or toward the center of the dash. I have had the steering wheel repaired. The noise comes on certain specific conditions. From a cold start, after about 5 minutes of slow driving this squeaking noise starts, but only after a right turn. It then is continuous at a low to moderate, but very annoying, noise level. I haven't done anything yet, except for steering wheel repair to fix horn blowing issue.. Any advice or assistance much appreciated. Thank you. Don

There is a fan in the heat/cool control , and The main part of the system is behind the dash , in the trunk (under wipers) .
Take a look there . |
