Decklid Shocks which ones ?
I would like to order a new set of Decklid shocks for my 964 C2 (non turbo). Which ones should I get ? It seems there are the 370 NM regular and 600 NM heavy duty. Also several manufacturers. Which force/resistance is correct for our cars ? Also has anyone tried the new mechanical replacements that don’t leak ?

How long do you plan on owning the car? After about the third time replacing the stupid gas hood shocks on one of my cars, I finally opted for the Rennline mechanical struts. They may be 4x as expensive as the gas shocks, but I'll never have to do it again. Not that they're hard to change out--took maybe 20 minutes this time--but I always hate that feeling of a limp hood, ya know?

Agree, gas shocks last a few years at best.
