Schematic for ABS Relay R34
I have been troubleshooting my 92 C4 ABS relay and in doing so produced a diagram that I found easier to follow than the ones that cover the entire system. I have attached it here in case anyone else wants it. It is accurate to the best of my knowledge but use at your own risk.

Way to go @TorqueHead.
Looks like you have some AutoCAD experience there. Good job! Now you can see that fuse #16 is just there to protect the ABS control unit.

Thanks, I just wanted to contribute to the pool of knowledge on this site. I was sketching it out on paper and I said to myself "the heck with this, let's do it right".
So now it is easy to see the function of fuse 16 and of relay R34. Now if only some bright electrical engineer could explain exactly the function of the zener diode in R34. My guess is that it is acting as an overvoltage protection device, but I am really not sure. Yes I have some past CAD experience. |
