Engine Noise.
Can anyone help identify this noise? High pitched, not present on cold start, appears after engine has been running for about 5 minutes.
Engine speed related. Seems to be coming from right hand side area. No specific work done on engine recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgVsZuRNKOs |

Hello Paperboy, I had a similar noise. Mine sounded like the file enclosed (not my vehicle, but similar). It ended up needing the valves adjusted/lashed, plus the #2 valve adjusting screw ( 901-105-370-02-OEM) replaced. The little elephants foot/pivot has some extra clearance and is worn, combined with excess valve lash, it made noise then the oil is warm. Wiggle each elephant foot and check the play. Since the oil in these cars is thicker when cold, make sure you remove the oil from the pivot to observe the max gap/play, when setting the valves to get a true reading. I didn't replace mine, but will the next time I lash the valves. The noise went away with the valve adjustment. Good luck.
