964 Front right blower squeak

Hey all,

So this is my 3rd post in the chain regarding my front blower motor.

Firstly big thanks for the post on the fan removal on this forum as it was invaluable.

Video clip of the fan noise: https://youtu.be/K8slirWYzP8

I got to the stage where I was going to try and extract the motor with the squirrel cage when I found this part cracked, actually it broke in half. I managed to epoxy it back together so all is good, and if I have time I will 3D scan it to see if I can 3D print one, but non the less its all in one piece now.
Is this a common failure as I can't seem to find a new part anywhere. Porsche here in Finland says that the part is not made anymore.

I was wondering could the crack contribute to the whistling / Squeaky sound?

On to the fan. I forgot to mention that I tracked it down to the right one.

Firstly should there be some gasket around the housing as outlined in the picture?

When checking the fan there seems to be no play in the motor when i lift the squirrel cage up and down, basically no play in it all. It spins quite freely, but just wondering do I go through the pain of removing the fan to check it, or try and spray/apply some lube to the fan axel at the front? I read that WD40 is NOT a good spray to use.

Do I understand correctly that there is no bearing rather brass or similar style bush there?
Do you think its possible with the fan in place to lubricate the shaft?

I have seen one good thread here where someone has stripped the motor down and inserted bearings there, which seems a good option considering the price.

Sorry for all the novice questions and looking forward to hearing your replies.

Best regards

Alex
