OBC stop counting on my 993

Hey guys, I am new to 911. Just took the delivery of my 993 last week. I need some help for my OBC issue.

After I got the car, I found the odometer doesn’t count, which I pulled it out and got it fixed at gauge workshop. Apparently, it is a common issue with a broken gear.

However, my on-board computer stopped counting, which was working no issue when I got it. I rest back to 0 but now it’s just sitting at 0. All other gauge works fine, tacho, speedo, odometer, etc. OBC screen can be read no issue and shows temperature accurately.

During the period while I am waiting the odometer gauge getting fixed, I took the car to local Porsche specialist got service done. They also changed the brake sensor at front left because the brake change warning light comes up sometimes although all the brake pads are new.

Also, after I found the OBC issue, I noticed the rear spoiler warning light always stays on which would go off once start driving. I think it’s related to the OBC issue. It still can operate manually.

The other things I did I after I got the car
- Gave it a wash
- Took out all the carpets and vacuumed
- Put a continental radio unit

Has someone had similar issue as mine? Where I should start to look into first? Much appreciated!

Call Palo Alto Speedometer.

Just had my 92 C2 tach sent to Palo for dead OBC. Said he can no longer get the OBC circuit board and suggested by a used tach that works and he would put my pristine bezel and glass on it. I deferred. There are other areas of the car that need that $ and attention (like AG upgrade) instead of spending to know miles to empty and outside temp.
