92 964 Fuse 19 Brake lights and Cruise Control short somewhere

92 964 Fuse 19 Brake lights and Cruise Control short somewhere.

Was informed by a friend it appeared my brakes lights were not working.
Oddly enough cruise control stopped working as well.
Both run off Fuse 19.

I pulled Fuse 19 as my starting point and it was blown.
Put a new one in.
Next time the ignition was on the fuse blew instantly.
Every time....

Starting point here -
Brake light switch?
Anyone know of cruise control circuit shorts? Control module? Connectorization at the servo?

Thanks for any help, thoughts or similar experiences.

I would start with the wiring for the brake lights and more importantly the license plate lights. There is a lot of heat back there and sometimes the insulation now going on 30 years has dried up and creates shorts. Especially when the connectors are played with.

This is what I have found many times with the lighting from the license plate lights on 964's. This was a very clean low mileage car with nearly everything in perfect condition.
