Pricing Porsche Speedster Parts
How does one come to a fair price on a Speedster part that is not commonly listed for sale? For example I have original 1994 Porsche Speedster seat inserts that are in like new condition, yet I can not find any on the internet to compare prices. Do I just list them at best offer?

There are no price guides and I don't recall ever seeing them for sale without the seats.
I suppose you could ask an upholsterer how much to replicate them? Or, just throw a price out there and see what happens. |

I would guess somewhere less than $20,000?
Sorry, no help here. Whatever it would cost for an upholsterer to replicate them, it would be worth more than that given they're OEM. There's no part number to check against whatever Porsche would charge for them today?

Maybe $500.00??...they can be reproduced new with exactly the same materials and technique for about the same $$.

Carbone has been reproducing them Not sure if it's in house or outsourced in Poland.

Yes, the inserts are for sale. I have someone offering me $500 at this time for the pair. But I have not sold them.
I may have other speedster parts, but I have boxes to go through. |

I took my set of original inserts to "Mitch's Stitch's" in San Luis Obispo, California. He is a master upholsterer and does Porsche work as well as owns them. He uses genuine Porsche material and quotes me $1,200 to reproduce the pair like the ones I'm selling here. I'm going to ask $1,200 OBO and see how it goes. I'm going to list them in the Classified section for 911 used parts.
