HVAC control unit in cabin of 1996 993 coupe

I have had this car since 1997, the HVAC control unit in the cabin seems to have gone haywire, stops and starts on it own, I know these "wear out" and they need to be cleaned or I have heard in the past there are people who will service them and or exchange one for you that has been "cleaned". Does anybody know where I can find somebody that does service, I'm in California and that would be ideal but I'm not going to be picky. Thanks Marty67

These guys perform repairs and sell parts. They use DHL which is fairly quick.

Why would anyone send a Porsche part to Europe for repair when there are very good sources in the U.S. used by Porsche shops and Porsche dealers, like the one referenced up-thread in California?

Just another option is all. He’s also a very helpful source of information for the 964/993 communities and has helped many troubleshoot their HVAC. I had issues with mine a couple of years ago when the heat didn’t kick on and he helped me troubleshoot and fix it. He also explains the cleaning procedure on his website so you could DIY if you wanted. I bought his fan upgrade and installed it myself using the instructions he provides.
