First 993 DIY project completed!

Flushed brakes and clutch slave with ATE Blue. What a cinch. I dunno what all the hype was about with the clutch slave. I did on my Carrera at least 8 times, so this was a breeze. Pedals feel so awesome now. Oil change coming up next!

Yeah, what's the big deal with 993 DiY? It's difficulty is overblown.

Was thinking of doing an engine drop at Jim's house just for the hell of it - on his 993, that is.

Richard - Can I fly you out here so you can do mine? You're a braver soul than me... damn I wish I was a DIY kind of guy.

Richard, this really is easy stuff - I mean really easy. I have a cordless impact driver, so I had all four wheels off in under 3 min. And having lift access helps too. But for the money you save by DIY'ing this stuff, you can buy your impact driver from Harbor Freight ($130), your Motive Power Bleeder from Pelican ($44), a can of ATE ($10) and you can have this done in an hour. Believe me, once you see what a PITA it is to R&R a clutch slave cylinder, you'll be flushing it every 6 mos. to prolong its life. Cheap insurance and keeps your pedals feeling right.
