Alternator-to-clamshell nut torque
 
Anyone got the spec for this? Not in Bentley.

I read one comment somewhere that it was 33 ft/lbs but this seems high.

33 ft-lbs would shear those bolts off instantly. As long as you are certain that the alternator body is thoroughly seated within the fan housing, those nuts only need to be snug. No more. They are not meant to draw the alternator into the housing, merely to keep it in place.
