What was the date of the 993 wire harness recall?

Thanks for the post. Interestingly I had my harness melt in August 2002 and affect many systems. After a lot of money they repaired all the affected items including my alternator, and replaced the harness. I am driving a 95 993 and the details outlined in the recall seems to be the exact problem I faced. I will be calling the porsche dealer who did my service to see about a retro payback of funds (in my dreams but worth a shot).

It looks as if MCL (Porsche Dealer) is working on reimbursement of amount paid for the wiring harness repair; which definately gets an A+ for porsche customer service.
