964RS NGT Ruby Star / 1 of 290

Had the incredible opportunity to drive and film a 964 RS in the legendary Sternrubin (Ruby Star) color! 🌟 This almost-pink shade is one of the rarest 964 RS colors – only a few were made in the early ’90s. Behind the wheel, it’s pure, raw Porsche: light, precise, and thrilling. I can’t get over how iconic the 911 design feels in person. Has anyone else ever had the chance to drive or see a 964 RS in a unique color like this? Would love to hear your stories.

Here is the Video:

The RS is a great car. Color means little to the experience IMO. It can be bare metal they are something that was never truly appreciated when they were new. My only peeve is the manual rack. It does very little IMO to enhance the experience and makes it very hard to drive at speeds under 20MPH. Very Gbody feeling in that respect. But I wouldn't say no to one.

I have to give you credit for driving a caged car on the street without a helmet. I lost a friend who was wearing harnesses that way. The true beauty of these is the loss of weight the added power and the short ratio box. I have a similar setup car which is a modified C4 into a C2 racer with cup car suspension and RS extras. It is more fun on track IMO than my GT4.

BTW the speedlines look great but the magnesium RS wheels would be a better overall feel by reducing the unsprung weight.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you for your contribution. Do you have any pictures of your modified 964? I'm curious.

You're right, the color doesn't matter. I recently drove a 964RS Touring, and the driving experience in the NGT is even cooler .

PS: The original magnesium rims are in the owner's garage.
