Better Than Radio Blank
When I bought my 993 it had what I considered a hideous 90’s aftermarket radio inside and a huge amp mounted on the floor of the frunk on top of the carpet. One of the first things I did was remove all of that and slide a period correct OE radio/CD player into the open single DIN slot. This was just for appearance as I never hooked it up.
After a few years I realized I did not miss not having a radio and I was using my phone and ear pods anyway on long drives. I have an 83 SC that has a blanking plate used to cover the radio slot in the dash. Looks OK but no added value. Pulled the useless 993 radio anchor and did this: Ordered a “car stereo blanking plate pocket” for $17 and trimmed the tabs off: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1759758310.jpg Fits perfectly. Looks way better than a blank plate and is actually useful. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1759758310.jpg I hate sitting on my wallet on long drives. Now I have a place for it. Regards |
Good idea 👍
