engine air duct
964 106 403 02 approx. $32.++ Pelican can usually get you any factory Porsche part. give them a call. 1-888-280-7799 good luck, Max |

Tim, you're screwed and need a full rebuild!
|
And since you need to rebuild it...might as well modify it a bit....maybe 993 induction system?

RL- you and the nova gang and give me a hand on the rebuild.;)

I think the part is about $24 at the dealer if they give a PCA discount.
|
Max-
I just checked with Pelican to confirm the part # and the pricing before I place an order, I was told that the part # is 964-106-402-06 and that it will cost me $165.61. The only difference in the part # is the last two digits. Is this the same air duct that we're talking about? Its a little high from the price you got yours for too. |
The number they gave you is for the base air duct. Not what you are looking for. If you only want the rubber duct/connector, you want the 964.106.403.02 air duct, and it lists for around $35 US.

eckessel is exactly right. here is a diagram from the PET. the part number has been superceeded, as you can see in the price list. (scan is from my 2002 price list book, 2003 price should be very close)

Unbelievable!! I just bought mine (I needed the 964 part on my 993vram to use a RS heat tube). It was ~$35 in May.
|
which part are you talking about Bill?? my 2003 book lists it ( 964 106 403 02 ) at $33.02
ps. Bill, just sent you a PM max |
The 964 106 403 01 is the part I bought to use an RS heat tube on my 993 vram as i said ~$35USD
I cannot believe my eyes with those prices  |
I knew something wasn't right. Thank you guys.
Max- that diagram is very helpful, thanks again. |
Got the part from a fellow NOVA P-fanatic for 26 dollars and installed it last sunday. A little modification was done in order to install the part correctly but it was a snap. Thanks all.

Hey Max - Where can I get one of those nifty parts books with prices??
|
Richard. the diagram/part numbers are from the PET program. The scan of the part numbers with prices is from a porsche publication "Genuine Parts Price List". Used ones come up for sale occassionally.... but, you can buy a new one.
the part number for the one i am using now ( Jan 2003) is: PNA DLR 001 03 using the price book i can tell you that the price of the parts book is $45 (suggested retail). Being able to look up a price on a part in a few seconds is well worth the money compared to phoning the dealer and being put on hold for an eternity by some snotty partsman. You also get to see that Wayne beats Porsche's price by a bit when he sells us genuine Porsche parts :) max |
So I need one too and apparently this part is now ~$90!!!
Can someone please verify that for me? I have a feeling the dealer is grifting me. |
